About the St. Croix 40 Winter Ultra
The St. Croix 40 Winter Ultra is a self-supported winter survivalist race through St. Croix State Park near Hinckley, Minnesota, where participants travel roughly 40 miles overnight on foot, ski, or fat bike while hauling required survival gear. Runners and skiers start together in the early evening, bikers start later, and everyone must complete a mandatory gear check and use their sleeping bag/bivy and stove kit at set points on course.
