The Piedmont 8 Hour is a beginner-friendly, family-style timed ultra at Powhatan State Park, run on a roughly 2.7-mile loop of open meadow and pine forest. Runners, a 4-person relay, hikers, and a family "Parent Loop" option all start together and rack up as many full loops as possible in eight hours.
