About the Man Against Horse 50mi, 25mi, 1/2 Marathon
The Man Against Horse Race is a historic Prescott, Arizona ultra where runners compete alongside endurance horses and their riders on the same course. First run in 1983 after a bar bet on Whiskey Row, the loop course climbs from a ranch base camp at about 5,000 ft to a 7,600 ft summit of Mingus Mountain, crossing grassland, high desert, and ponderosa pine forest.
