About the Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K
Welcome to the 28th Annual Jared Coones Memorial Pumpkin Run/Walk Event . Jared was ten years old when he passed away on October 5, 1998, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. His mother, Jayne, passed away on December 17, 2006, after a difficult fight with inflammatory breast cancer. In December 2025, we also lost Judy Porting, Jared’s aunt, to leukemia.
