About the Greenbrier River Trail Marathon
The Greenbrier River Trail Marathon & Half Marathon is a scenic, gently downhill trail race in Marlinton, West Virginia, run on the crushed-gravel Greenbrier River Trail alongside the Greenbrier River. Starting in 2026 both races run out-and-back from First Avenue in downtown Marlinton, with marathoners passing twice through the historic Sharp's Tunnel on a course with minimal elevation change well suited to fast times and Boston Qualifying attempts.
