The RBC Brooklyn Half starts in Prospect Park and finishes on the Coney Island boardwalk. It is point-to-point. Spectators should pick Prospect Park / Grand Army Plaza early or head straight to the finish.
Best places to stand
Local guides and NYRR notes highlight Prospect Park loops, Grand Army Plaza, Ocean Parkway (less crowded than the park, Uber-friendly on the east side facing south), and the official New Balance and RBC cheer zones near the end on Ocean Parkway and Surf Avenue before the boardwalk.
- Start/early: Prospect Park or Grand Army Plaza.
- Middle: Ocean Parkway.
- Finish: Coney Island boardwalk. Official cheer zones nearby.
- After: Maimonides Park after-party is a common meetup.
Getting there
Subway (F train to Coney Island) or rideshare. Road closures make driving between Prospect Park and Coney Island slow. Check NYRR for current closure maps.
Where to meet
Pick a landmark near the boardwalk finish or at the after-party at Maimonides Park. Cell service is heavy near the finish. Agree on a spot before the race.
